He left a girlfriend behind in the Lunar Realm, in order to fight Tsao's war on Wep'keer. He was injured there, and captured, and has little hope of returning. Shortly after the battle, there was an attempted escape, and Bastien wandered out of the makeshift prison with the intention of enjoying a walk. He ran into Kaien, however, and due to unhappy circumstances, is now... well, he's a pet. She liked his teeth.

Dark grey mane, both along the back of his neck, and the underside of his neck, going down his chest and stopping midway between the ribcage and the rear legs. Fluff on the tip of his ropey tail is dark grey, and his back is patterned with dark grey spots. Inside of ear is light grey, rest of ear is dark grey. Patch of black fur at the bottom of his top jaw, a short way behind the oversized canines. Wings are medium grey, with a stripe of light grey, leading into black tips. Claws are black.
