She had been on the front lines. Part of the Tsao's army, whom he sacrificed to the Oina's dragons. She and her mate had no previous connection to their lab. They were just.. recruits, loyal to their leader.
Before joining the military, she had made her living selling jewelry and various carvings. An artist mostly in 3-D mediums, she was fairly successful, though she rarely wore her own work, preferring not to decorate herself. It had been enough for a comfortable life. A house by water, for plenty of skinny-dipping with her loved one.
Her mate had been a long-time friend, and their love had been deep. But Kiet's flame put an end to her life in one painful instant. Demi had been nearly killed herself. Perhaps it was better if she was. She was captured by the Oina, and then taken by Spector. She grew somewhat content in her care, and she adored picking fights with Gin.
