"All this time to make amends.
What do you do when all your enemies are friends?
Now and then I'll try to bend,
Under pressure wind up snapping in the end.
Don't want to be your monkey wrench,
One more indecent accident.
I'd rather leave than suffer this,
I'll never be your monkey wrench."
- Monkey Wrench; Foo Fighters.

Remy didn't like his job. But he had to do something to pay for his habit. And with his talent, it would have been unsafe for him to refuse. Tsao didn't like when people refused him.
The experiments disgusted him. Even the ones he helped create. It wasn't natural... And his hatred of them wasn't personal. He got along with many of them just fine. It was all inward. A deep-down hatred for all of them that he couldn't quite shake off. Sometimes he felt bad for them, sometimes he felt guilty. But it was always something.
Though, if it weren't for his habit, he might have turned down the job, as risky as it was. But he needed money for sweets. Yes, sweets. He had quite the sweet tooth, going through dozens of bags of candy each week. And that cost money. More then you'd think.

Speaking of his sweet tooth.. There was quite a story behind it. Though he hardly remembered their faces, his parents had been quite the uptight assholes. Jei had spent a lot of time and effort to 'rescue' him, something he appreciated greatly. God forbid he ever showed it, however. And break the illusion?
But on the first night of their new freedom, they had pigged out on ice cream and candy. Remy had a sweet tooth ever since. Perhaps reminding him of how much his sister cared, even if she had a habit of giving him the gross jobs and throwing food at his head. It was always nice to feel loved.
